Fieldtrips Schedule

This is the field part of the course. It is designed to practice some of the important skills that Navigators need in the field in addition to demonstrate some of the difficulties involved. It's a good safari too with lots of fun!

It could be joined by those who haven't attended the theoretical parts with map exercises on separate fees. Please email with notes on your skills and experience.

To apply, you have to be already reserved in one of our courses' dates. For reservations, please email with your choice of dates.

 

In case you're being part of a program of an independent Agency, please contact them and use this page for info only.

Your reservation will be replied to by a confirmation email. (please be patient, it takes few days to process your reservations)

Please include the following in your email:

  • Full name and dates of your joining the theoretical

  • You own 4x4 (and if possible how many seats would you welcome other course participants)

Deadline for any Fieldtrip is one week before its announced date (in some cases, if there's room, it could be up to 2 days before course starts)

The response email to you will notify you of time and place of meeting and what do you need to bring.

 

Notes:
  • Dates are subject to a minimum enrolment number.

  • You'll get detailed emails of what to expect. Day starts approx at 8:30am and back by sunset.

  • Terrain is suitable for beginners in 4x4 desert driving. 4x4, gas, etc. are responsibility of the Navigator. Expect hard work and lots of new friends. Bring nice picnic food with you.

  • Standard Fieldtrip will be conducted in Wadi Um Ratam Canyon as the last part of your course. Fieldtrips in other places could be discussed depending on instructor's time, and features of the area. Additional fees apply.
