Camp Jeep '05

In a huge desert (but
grass-covered) area belonging to AAV, DaimlerChrysler Egypt has
organized a fun promotional day for its Jeep owners on a nice sunny
winter Friday of Nov 25th. The day had much fun surprises for kids
and grown-ups with adventurous tendencies—bungee
jumping (10 floors high), and Jeep 101 where few Jeep Cherokees
(Liberty edition) were taken for test-drives on a trail on the side
of a desert cliff with some 45º
ramps among other things.
It featured also
what they call Jeep Academy that hosted speakers in a variety of
issues related to Jeep offroading. Mohamed Mabrouk was invited as speaker that
attempted to define how Navigation could be used for a growing
community of 4x4 owners in Egypt.
GPS and Navigation for Desert Safaris: A View
With this title,
the presentation was in powerpoint with approx 50 slides rich in
visual material. For about 45 minutes, Mabrouk used the contents to
promote the good and ethical use of Navigation for safer and richer
experience in desert safaris in Egypt. The presentations suggested
ways of growth into the hobby.
